450 area: surrounding Montréal

Starting August 21, 2010, the new 579 area code will be introduced gradually once there are no more 450 numbers. Until then, numbers with the 450 code will continue to be assigned until there are none left.

You live in the 450 area?

For your local calls, you will always enter 10 digits (area code + local number):

• from 450 to 450
• from 450 to 514
• from 450 to 438
• from 450 to 579

You have a number in the 450 area?

Anyone who already has a number with area code 450 will keep the same number.
