613 area: eastern Ontario

Starting May 17, 2010, the new 343 area code will be introduced gradually once there are no more 613 numbers. Until then, numbers with the 613 code will continue to be assigned until there are none left.

You live in the 613 area?

For your local calls, you will always enter 10 digits (area code + local number):

• from 613 to 613
• from 613 to 819
• from 613 to 343

The 9-1-1 emergency number remains a three-digit number.

You have a number in the 613 area?

Anyone who already has a number with area code 613 will keep the same number.
